Decusatio

‘Decusatio’, Latin for ‘Intersection’. The work is a public work placed on the balustrade of the Norwood Club on West 14th Street in New York City. The Work seeks to embrace the ‘Intersection’ point of the surrounding environment; an environment highly trafficked by people from around the world and a matter of feet from a major subway transportation hub for many thousands of people a day. The Work has a strong figurative presence and abstraction that is intended to capture the intersection and fundamental interconnection of humanity as a whole and specifically the human interaction in the surrounding physical environment. Please access the attached Tear Sheet for more detailed information on the Work, ‘Decusatio’.

‘Decusatio’ has the honor of finding its next home in the Hugh in the famous CitiBank building on Lexington Avenue between 53rd Street and 54th Street. More to come very soon on the intention for the move and process of making the move!
